One of the most rewarding things in life is appreciation.
Not just receiving it, but also taking the time to recognize it ourselves.
Lately, I've been reflecting on where I was two years ago. Back then, this house was mostly a dream. A vision that lived in my imagination, in sketches, notes, conversations, and countless "what ifs."
Today, as I sit here looking around, I realize how much has happened in just two years.
Step by step, project by project, challenge after challenge, this dream has taken shape.
As many of you know from my previous posts, creating this house has been a journey filled with excitement, doubts, lessons, and many unexpected turns. There were moments when progress felt slow and moments when everything seemed to move at once. Through it all, one thing kept me going: the belief that something beautiful was possible.
But appreciation doesn't only come from looking back.
One of my favorite moments is when guests leave and share their experience with us.
A kind comment. A smile. A message saying they enjoyed their stay. These small words often mean more than people realize.
Of course, we all have different tastes. What one person loves, another might not even notice. And that's perfectly normal. We are all unique, and that is what makes hospitality so interesting.
What I value just as much as positive feedback is constructive feedback.
When someone says, "You know, it would be even better if..." I listen.
Not because I feel obligated to make a change, but because I know I don't know everything.
Every guest sees the house through fresh eyes. They notice details I may have overlooked. They bring new perspectives and ideas. And every suggestion is an opportunity to learn.
In a way, learning is even more valuable than appreciation.
Appreciation tells us that we are on the right path.
Learning shows us where the path can lead next.
I wasn't born with a ready-made dream house.
What I did have was a dream, determination, and the desire to create something meaningful in this world.
Whether the result is big or small doesn't really matter.
What matters is the process of building, improving, learning, and never giving up.
So today, I'm grateful.
Grateful for how far this journey has come.
Grateful for every lesson learned along the way.
Grateful for every guest who has shared a compliment, a suggestion, or simply a memory from their stay.
And grateful for the opportunity to keep creating.
Because the dream house isn't just a destination.
It's a journey.
And I'm still enjoying every step of it.
